My biggest bugbear

My biggest bugbear is the amount of job advertisements I see where the person who has wrote the advert hasn't appeared to have been bothered to proof read it before submitting it, it really irks me, it puts me straight off from applying for a position, please proof read before submitting, you want professionals to fill positions in your company then frigging well act professional yourselves!!

Until the next time, don't have nightmares

Time for the fat one to get fit

I'm not one for making new years resolutions because I never tend to stick to them, so I thought I'd try a christmas one instead. I have decided that I feel too unhealthy and I am way overweight. So I have booked an appointment with my local gym for a tour round and I'll take it from there.

Until the next time, don't have nightmares

My body is weak ...

... and my brain is fried, I never realised how tired I was until I'm sitting here no agency job to go to fill the daytime void only got this evening's agency job to go tonight.

So I am making a note to myself, that I will have to alter my spending habits instead of trying to do 2 jobs that take up every waking moment of my life at the moment, reducing me to a gibbering wreck.

Still waiting to hear back from my agency about another job that is in the pipeline for me, just got to go through some details before I get it nailed, then I will be able to decide on whether to go to my evening agency job anymore, even though I only have one month to go before the evening agency job ends, I don't think I'm going to mentally and physically last that long. There is a prospect of this job becoming permanent, but the department I am working on has now lost its lustre and its appeal to me, I'm thinking more about my state of mind than trying to get some extra money in for christmas and keeping the bank off my back.

Also the jobs I'm doing aren't helping to further my career, as they are on a tangent away from what I really want to be doing.

So until the next time, don't have nightmares

I'm Back

Yes I am back once more to pollute the blogosphere with my ramblings.

Have you ever got to stage that you are working long weeks over 50 hours your brain starts to get tired and apparently freeze up, like you are staring into space because you mind has gone completely blank. Well that has started to happen to me, and I'm starting to be less and less bothered about the stuff that really needs to be done.

I'm really going to have to take a few days off before I start cracking up, already started to get irritable at work again and I don't want to end up at the same stage I was a couple of years ago.

I was supposed to go shopping yesterday, but once I arrived there were no bloody car parking spaces left, so I thought sod this for a game of soldiers and decided not to spend 10 minutes trying to look for a space so I just decided to fill my car up with diesel and go to macdonalds instead. I really wished I hadn't their burgers don't seem to taste of anything anymore, even the cheese gherkins and tomato sauce didn't help this time around.

There wasn't even any salt on the fries which was annoying, there is either too little or too much salt on their fries no happy medium at all. Well at least there was one saving grace the coke was ok as usual.

Finally took the plunge and got myself a mono laser printer, couldn't afford a colour one and also I wouldn't be able to afford to run it once the toners and drums give up.

Bought myself some films from www.play.com, they currently have a 3 films for £15 pounds offer on,so I thought why not?

The films I have got are:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - a classic film in my humble opinion
Saw 2 - a nice horror flick, haven;t watched it before but have bee told I should really watch this one before going to see Saw 3.
Beetlejuice - another classic film.

I'm keeping everything crossed at the moment that I will have another agency job to go to once my main agency job finishes on 24th November. So christmas is starting to look a little better for me now.

I could spell check this entry, but I cannot be really bothered at all, it is not some literary work of art, so if you do see any spelling mistakes, please feel free to leave a comment, however depending upon what state of mind and body I am in when I come to read them will determine the outcome and these are duly listed thus:

a) I will ignore you comment completely and not reply at all because I'm too tired and couldn't be bothered to reply

b) I will give a nice cheery friendly reply if I have had a particularly good day

or

c) A down right nasty reply basically going to tell you either go and have sexual intercourse with yourself or go forth and multiply.

So folks sign up for the "comment" lottery you could be a winner

Until the next time, don't have nightmares

Ha ha so...

... how many of you forgot the clocks went back at 2 am this morning? I bet you are standing outside your local supermarket right now wondering why they haven't opened yet?

Did I really just post this entry to mock those that had forgotten, am I that cruel?

You bet your ass

Begging bowl filled...

... but not as much as I wanted though, in order to get my overdraft I had to upgrade my account and pay a monthly fee for a whole bunch of extras that I probably wont even use, however I will look through them and see if there is something I could use.

So there is a little light starting to poke through at the end of the tunnel, but I have to be careful because the darkness is still on my tail.

Also bought nearly 2 weeks of shopping just incase.

Until the next time, don't have nightmares

Best laid plans...

... always seemed to get fucked up.

Dropped in my timesheet to my temp agency today, I asked them where the information was for the second temp job I am going to do for them, only to be told that:

a) There isn't going to be an induction on Sunday, it's been cancelled.

b) I'm now starting on 30th October.

This now means I am going to have to grovel to my bank for an overdraft, which will be nigh on impossible because of the following factors:

a) I have been banking with them for just under 6 months

b) I have previously applied for an overdraft online that was rejected

c) I am in a temporary job with no prospect of a permanent position.

So you can say I'm firmly stuck behind the 8 ball unless the bank takes pity on me and allows me to sell my soul to them. Banks don't you love them?

Who said that "the grass is always greener on the other side"? If you do drop me a comment and I'll go and punch the person on the nose, it sure isn't at the moment.

Wish me luck, I think I may be coming back with my begging bowl empty.

Until the next time, don't have nightmares

Windows Live Messenger sux

Yes it does, it no longer allows me to log in with the hotmail.co.uk address I set up a couple of months back, so back on the old ID again and no, I'm not going to post in on here so some wierdos I've never heard of try and talk to me.

It looks like the infection in my big toe has almost gone, not burst yet, but it doesn't hurt anymore which means vesivius is about to erupt.

Upgraded to IE7 tonight and that sux too, still cannot play flash content on sites so I'm back with the fox for good by the looks of it, at least flash content works through it.

I start my zombie shift next week, well by the end of the week I'll be walking round like one.

Just a quickie...

... before I head off to bed, nothing much to really say tonight, my toe infection is still going strong, I'm still sure it's going to pull my nail off. Just another thing pissing me off, automatic vents in bathrooms that don't switch off for frigging hours doing my head in!!! Now I've had to turn on the fan heater to try and equalise the humidity in there.

Which now means that I will be up for longer than planned. Oh well life is never simple.

Until the next time, don't have nightmares

Another fun packed entry

Hello folks and welcome to another fun packed entry.

Got a word of warning do not eat anything whilst reading this entry as you will most likely be saying hello to your dinner again.

I now have an infection in my big toe, it felt a little strange last night, this morning it is swelling like a red balloon and I'm sure it is going to lift up the nail as it is right on the edge. Should I post a picture of it to gross you all out, well actually it doesn't look gross at the moment, nothing has decided to find its way out yet :-)

No I won't unleash the image on you, I think I've done enough damage with the picture from the other day.

At a loose end

Okay I’m at a bit of a loose end this afternoon, whilst I wait for my laundry to dry, so I thought what the hell I’ll write another entry in my blog.

Internet Forums

You know the places where a lot of like minded people congregate and post their opinions on a wide range of subjects or any news worthy bits of stuff they have picked up during the week.

Well there are 2 words that really really wind me up “post exchange”.

For those of you who are not into the forum scene, here is how it works.

I want you to post on my forum X amount of times, in exchange I will post on your forum the same amount of times, sounds simple doesn’t it? Yes it does.

But why do they wind me up? Because you will get people who know fuck all about a subject posting crap on your forum just so they can fulfil their obligation of X amount of posts, now tell me how the hell is that going to help your forum in any way shape or form?

I wish people would stop thinking these are any good. I think some people when they become a forum admin they loose all sense of being an individual they like to follow the crowd as it were and tend not to think for themselves and think that any idea mentioned is a good idea, so they feel that they don’t run the risk of alienating themselves from fellow admins. I just wished more people would take a stand and actually think for themselves.

Until the next time, don’t have nightmares

Regards

What is happening...

... to the area I'm currently living in?

I have been here for over six years now and over the past couple of months I have notice a sharp increase of evidence of "bad" stuff that has been going on overnight, beer bottles strewn about, broken VCRs personal stereos strewn on the path and the grass, kicked over bins.

One time I had seen the whole of the dashboard facia of a car propped up agaisnt some metal stands which used to have a bench on them. Then you've got the local children who don't even live where I am riding their bikes up and down in other words trespassing, I let it go because they're not doing any real harm, but seeing them whacking the crap out of bushes so the leaves and twigs go all over the path I find extremely annoying, can't their parents find them something else to do?

I have even noticed a sharp decline in the quality of my local KFC, the service and the standard of the restaurant has really gone down now, all the tables covered in the previous occupants empty cartons and food strewn all over the table you want to sit at. Do people not care anymore?

It would seem in the UK for most parts the customer is always wrong or customer service is no longer a top priority for businesses, as long as they get your money at the end of the day, are they really bothered that you had good service along the way before departing with your hard earned cash? I think not.

Until the next time, don't have nightmares.

I had forgotten...

... about this live journal account I had, I was going to tell you all about my new blog on the 'net, but now I'm going to tell you about my old/new blog on the 'net. I can't see a way of posting smellies on here so I'm going to have to use the old tried and tested method, for those of you of the new internet generation they are not the silly yellow smiley faces you are all used to seeing (even though I do love using them :-)) there you go slipped on in for you already ;-)

With the current trend of energy prices going up and in light of that my leccy bill looking like it is powering a nuclear sub instead of my home, I was pleasantly surprised when my water direct debit schedule arrived, the cost per month has actually been reduced. Hooray for Severn Trent :-)

I am now going through a busy stage in my life right now, I have now had to take on a second part time agency job to make up for lost earnings since I was made redundant back in July.

Also my CCNA Open University course starts next month, so I'll be working 13 hour days Monday to Friday and hopefully, if I remain disciplined enough spend a few hours on Saturday and Sunday doing my coursework.

Back to my blogging habits, I have would what appear to be tons of these blogs lurking all over the 'net and I never seem to stick to using one, so all of my entries don't actually follow a proper timeline. So I am going to make a concentrated effort of eradicating all other blogs I have on the net or the "blogosphere" as the trendies would like you to call this part of the internet.

Would it be a huge mistake for me to link to other blogs on the 'net incase I gave away my true identity? Not really a lot of people who have known me over the years know I can have difficulty in not speaking my mind about things in the world in general, that is why there are not many scars on my lip from biting them. :-)

I think I have finally learnt from years of hard knocks to actually pick battles that I have a chance of winning or at least holding my own in for a long period of time. I do still get wound up from time to time that does give me a headache because the pressure starts to build up for me to tell it how it is. As the saying goes "make love not war".

Well the love making part isn't true unless you count doing the 5 knuckle shuffle on a daily basis as love making. That will be the last reference to my sexual habits for the remainder of the lifetime of this blog, I am going to try and keep this blog clean, but I cannot promise there will be no swear words in here.

You try and articulate yourself in a manner which does not involve swearing but in today's society it is so damned hard to do so, there are so many things in the world that annoy me. I keep telling myself that I should chill out and not lett the little things get to me, but no matter how hard I try the pressure just gets too much and I have to let off steam and god help anyone in the blast zone.

Even my friends have been known to cop a lot of flack from me when the pressure valve is released. I apologise in advance if that happens, it is not that I don't like you, it's just a case of you being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sorry if I act afterwards as if nothing has happened, sure I'll act a little sheepish afterwards but then it does take a huge pressure off my mind once that old pressure valve has been released. :-)

I know I'm a hypocrite, I barely practice what I preach, I tell others how to behave on internet forums, yet when their backs are turned I catch myself doing the exact same things I tell others not to do, but hell what the fuck it is human nature to do so. Name me one person on the planet who isn't a hypocrite?

You know what I could tell you quite a few more things that are irking me right now, but I don't have over a billion dollars/pounds what ever currency you would like to use burning a hole in my wallet right now to afford a full time legal department, because I sure as hell tell you right now they'd soon earn their money trying to cover my backside. :-)

So once I'm the next Bill Gates, I will give you a lot more insight into what makes my blood boil.

So until the next time, keep this image in your head and don't have nightmares ;-)

What a lovely day!!

Yes folks its bank holiday monday and the sun is actually out, although it is clouding over slightly at the moment. I'm doing my laundry, so I can get out of my flat as quickly as possible.Sorry for such a short entry but I just felt that I had to comment on the weather.

I will be posting again later

I'm here

Yes, after a few days I'm back again, I can't really seem to stick at one task at a time lately, so my blog has been on the back burner as of late, hopefully starting from next wek my life will be taking a little more structure instead of me feeling like I'm a rabbit in headlights.

Even though I find a routine boring, I find that a lack of a routine completely makes you feel that you haven't really accomplished anything and that is what I have been feeling for a couple of weeks now.

What I have done to start putting some structure back into my life is by tackling my debts especially to my bank. I currently have a loan with my bank, there is another 2 years to run on it so what I have done is applied for a loan from a cheaper source, Lombard Direct, the loan costs me slightly more a month to pay off and also the amount is more than my original loan, the APR is far better than the APR on my bank loan, so what I'm going to do is settle my bank loan with some of the money, then use some of it to wipe out my credit card and overdraft at the bank and then put what's remaining into a savings accounts where I can deposit money whenever I want to into it and withdraw money at will without any penalties.

So hopefully my life will start to get better and will be relaxing more and thinking straighter.

Until the next time.

Where have I been?

Nowhere thats the answer, just couldn't be bothered to do much lately. So in my current state of finally being bothered to do something, I have decided to update my blog.

I have now been introduced to the wonderful affects of Green Tea, well Green Tea with mint. I find it to be very relaxing, it beats being intoxicated anyday and there is no hangover to worry about afterwards.

Gripe of the Day

Learner drivers, what the hell are the instructors doing in the passenger seat? Sleeping, reading, doing the times crossword? Instead of keeping any eye on what their student is doing behind the wheel.

Tell me what learner does 15 miles an hour through a 30 miles an hour speed limit? Don't start with the "you were once a learner" rubbish, I never drove that slowly when I learned to drive. Under normal circumstances you would probably be failed for being hesitant behind the wheel driving at that speed.

Thats the gripe over.

My current health

Once again getting over a lovely headache that krept up on me from nowhere and hit me in the back of a head like a sledge hammer, thank you mother nature, you bitch!!

Game of the moment

For the past few weeks I have been playing KOC (Kings of Chaos) for those of the populace that are unaware. If you want a full explanation then go take a look at their website Kings of Chaos.

Favourite Telly

At the moment it has to be "Dog, The Bounty Hunter", over on Bravo weekday nights at 10pm and lasts for half an hour, check it out if you are interested.

Parting Thought

What happens to the the bit in the middle of a ring donut (american spelling, because I'm feeling lazy?

Until the next time
